JOB:   WEEKEND MANAGER (20 hrs/week)

COMPANY DESCRIPTION:

Greystone is a thriving neighborhood café, bakery, and provisions shop in the South End of Boston.

We are obsessed with good atmosphere, standout food, exceptional coffee, genuine service, and smart business. As a neighborhood café, we have the opportunity to set the tone for someone’s day, and we don’t take that lightly.

We pride ourselves on quality products, offering ethically sourced coffee directly from farmers, cooking up delicious baked goods, gourmet sandwiches, soups and hearty grain-based salads in-house, and selling small-batch pantry goods made by local masters of their craft.

We are building a team of thoughtful, passionate, hard-working, over-achievers, and would love for you to join us!

ROLE OVERVIEW:

The Weekend Manager will be responsible for running front of house operations on Saturdays and Sundays (potential for Fridays, as well). The job of the Weekend Manager is to ensure that busy weekend days run smoothly and efficiently; manage staff to meet our goals, ensure an exceptional customer experience, and deliver fast, accurate, friendly service. The Weekend Manager must have a keen eye for seeing what is most important in any given moment, the ability to juggle multiple things at once, and an aptitude for stepping into any position. You will be the leader and point person on the weekends for all daily operations. You will partner closely with the GM, AGM, Pastry Chef, Kitchen team, and Owners.

We are looking for a hustler; someone who loves an adrenaline rush and looks forward to moving and grooving non-stop for 10 hr/day. This is not an administrative managerial role—this is an on-the-ground operational role. The job of the Weekend Manager is to execute the high standard of service that we expect at Greystone.

The Weekend Manager will always be visible on the floor and develop relationships with customers and staff alike. They will have an unwavering passion for food, coffee, and customer service.

We are looking for someone who embodies the ethos of Greystone, and who is excited to truly partner with us in furthering Greystone!
